Artist BRITT ZAIST, a NY native, trained at the prestigious Art Students League of New York City where she is a Life Member. Britt is widely known for her sumptuous abstractions in richly colored permanent inks as well as her fluid gesture drawings. Her work appears in the collections of IBM, Konica, Burroughs Wellcome, The Knoxville-Tennessee Airport and elsewhere internationally.

   Zaist says, “My designs in permanent ink suggest, rather than describe: birds on the wing, mountain landscapes, clear depths of the ocean or cascades of brilliant color. My drawings also suggest rather than describe what the viewer is seeing: a flamenco dancer, a favorite pet, a man, a woman … What begins with a technique ends with a discovery.”
